Marsho gives performance at Jedlička Institute for Disabled Children in Prague, goes to Brno(Prague Watchdog) - The Chechen children dance group Marsho gave a performance for the residents and staff of the Jedlička Institute for Disabled Children in Prague on Thurday and today they are leaving for Brno, the country's second largest town, for their first big public performance scheduled for Saturday.
The group's two-hour performance in the packed hall of the Jedlička institute, where the children presented about ten Caucasian dances, was a huge success. The show was also meant as an expression of gratitude to the institute, which currently accomodates the adults accompanying the
group during its stay in Prague.
Today the dancers are moving on to Brno to take part in a press conference in conjunction with Iva Zimova's exhibition of her photographs from Chechnya and Ingushetia in the foyer of the Brno theatre Husa na provazku. The press conference will be followed by a performance (starting in the theatre at 7 p.m.) featuring children from Marsho as the main stars. (P/T) |
