Marsho's concerts in Prague, Brno sold out(Prague Watchdog) - An enormous interest in the performance of the children dance group Marsho from Chechnya caused that the performances in Brno and Prague have been totally sold out and only visitors in Zlin and Ostrava still have the chance to see Marsho's traditional Chechen dances.
"The interest in the performance of the children surpassed all our expectations. Now we are only afraid of the cultural aspect of the event putting in the shade the idea to highlight the ongoing crisis in their homeland," said Jana Hradilkova of the organizing civic association Berkat.
"Everything the children can see around them is a great experience for them. It's even stronger experience then that of ours when we, after the collapse of the totalitarian regime, could eventually visit the free world in the West," Hradilkova said.
On Friday Marsho moved to Brno, where students of the grammar school Plovdivská in Brno-Žabovřesky welcomed the Chechen children with a great hospitality. Tonight Marsho will give a performance in the theatre Divadlo Husa na provázku in Brno and next Monday and Wednesday it will perform in Zlín and Ostrava, respectively. The last performance takes place in Prague on Thursday. (T) |
