An address to Prague Watchdog readersDear readers,
At the end of March we completed our latest one-year project aimed at reporting on the situation in Chechnya, Ingushetia and other North Caucasian republics. The projects have run since the year 2000, and are familiar to you in the form of the Prague Watchdog website (www.watchdog.cz). Another project of ours – the magazine Chechenskoye obshchestvo Segodnya (Chechen Society Today), which we have published since late 2005 in collaboration with the Moscow-based Centre for Journalism in Extreme Situations − is also currently in the process of completion.
We are now preparing the continued operation of our site, which will involve some changes to the structure, editorial policy and staffing of our organization. I hope that these will benefit our new one-year project, and we will continue to bring you reliable information obtained primarily from our own correspondents in the North Caucasus. Our new project will begin on May 1, 2008.
